We recently had a Nissan Elgrand come into the workshop with excessive rear tyre wear.
After carrying out a full geometry check on our Hunter wheel alignment system, we found the rear camber could only be adjusted so far before it hit its limit.
After further diagnosis, we discovered the vehicle had been fitted with aftermarket rear springs, which were causing the suspension geometry to sit outside the manufacturer's specifications.
We sourced the correct genuine-spec replacement springs from a Japanese parts supplier and fitted them. Once installed, the rear camber returned to specification automatically, allowing us to complete the wheel alignment correctly.
The result? ✅ Rear geometry back within spec, ✅ even tyre wear going forward, and most importantly, another happy customer!
