This Amarok came in with DPF ash load exceeded and AdBlue system faults — common on higher mileage 3.0 V6 platforms.

Full bench calibration carried out on the EDC17CP54 using genuine professional tools.

The 3.0 V6 responds extremely well when calibrated correctly.

💡 EGR – Quick Technical Note

We advised the customer against EGR removal on this vehicle.

Fun fact:
EGR removal is not automatically a performance “upgrade”.

On modern diesel strategies:
• EGR can actually assist turbo spool at lower load
• It helps control combustion temperature
• It reduces NOx formation under part load

An EGR delete is typically:
• A preventative measure
• A solution to a fault
• Or required for specific off-road builds

If the system is functioning correctly, removing it purely “because it’s common” isn’t always the best approach.

We only remove systems when there is a justified mechanical or reliability reason.
