The Association of Local Bus Managers - ALBUM has been one to remember for Mellor!

We've had the fantastic opportunity to showcase two of our customer vehicles - the Strata LF for Bee Network and the brand new Strata Plus with two wheelchair spaces for West Yorkshire Combined Authority. A huge thank you to both operators for kindly loaning us their vehicles for the event, it's been a real pleasure to put them in the spotlight! 🌟

Last week we welcomed 5 young people (aged 18-24) to our Mellor site as part of First Bus's week-long Routes to Work programme.

This initiative introduces young people to First Bus and its key suppliers like us, giving them real insight into who we are, what we do, and the career opportunities available. From our award winning, bespoke apprenticeship scheme to entry-level roles, design engineering and operations; there's real variety in what we do.

They experienced an engaging presentation on our design process, 3D models and CAD drawings, plus an insightful site tour.

It was fantastic to showcase the depth of careers within our business and support this great initiative, giving back to the local community and our young people.

In recognition of the amazing work done by West Dunbartonshire Council, We’re pleased to support
Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs and their Routes programme.

Routes supports young people aged 12 - 26 affected by family alcohol and drug use, offering steady, long-term support that often goes beyond what’s visible. Alongside emotional and practical guidance, they create opportunities for young people to enjoy experiences, build confidence and develop everyday life skills, from education and budgeting to simply having time away from home.

We hope our contribution helps continue this important work and creates more positive moments along the way.

Lewis L Llan has taken delivery of its first Mellor Strata Plus Low Floor.

With 22 seats and step-free access, the vehicle is well suited to the demands of local authority and school transport. Designed for efficiency on tighter routes, it supports a smooth and accessible journey for every passenger.

Darren Lewis, Director at Lewis-Y-Llan, commented: “I am really happy with the Strata Plus. It looks great and the finish is really good.”
