Back on the Road: DAF CF Brake Overhaul

We recently had this DAF CF in the workshop after it unfortunately failed its MOT on brake efficiency.

Upon inspection, our mechanics identified that the brake discs and pads were wearing very unevenly. The culprit? Sticky sliders in the callipers—a common issue that prevents the brakes from engaging correctly and can lead to costly downtime if not caught early.
To ensure the vehicle is safe, compliant, and reliable, we completed a full back-end refresh:
• New Rear Hubs fitted.
• New Brake Discs and ABS Rings installed.
• Calliper Service to resolve sticking issues.

The Importance of PMIs and Regular Brake Testing
This repair is a perfect example of why Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) are so vital. Catching "sticky" components during a scheduled inspection prevents vehicle breakdowns and MOT failures.
