14 years on public transport…

Then Anna finally bought her first car. 🚗

A wee Kia Picanto she was proud as punch to call her own after handling the whole process herself.

But not long after getting it home, something didn’t feel right.

A strange noise.
A bit of worry.
That horrible feeling of “have I made a mistake?”

That’s when she brought her wee baby down to us at The Mechanics Glasgow for an independent inspection.

Turns out there was an issue with the front suspension arm bushes. Thankfully, because Jordan took the time to properly inspect the car, explain everything clearly and provide video evidence, Arnold Clark repaired the issue completely FREE under warranty.

No drama.

Help us celebrate our Anniversary 🎉❤️🙏🚘🔧⚡️

3 years ago on the 1st of May, we opened the doors to The Mechanics Glasgow.

What started as two lads working late nights and weekends after shifts slowly became something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Back in 2017 we met working together dealing with warranty jobs in Peter Vardy. Before long we were helping each other out with homers, taking on bigger jobs, and eventually realised we had more work than time.

So we took the leap.

Our first unit was a one man garage with a single ramp. We worked five days a week in our full time jobs, then every night and weekend in the garage, putting every penny back into the business to build something of our own.

The first week felt strange to be honest. Like we were waiting on somebody telling us what to do 😂

But step by step, customer by customer, things grew.

First came the garage. More recently came the opening of our brand new MOT Centre. Along the way we’ve built an incredible team, gained the trust of loyal customers, and somehow ended up sitting just shy of 100 five star Google reviews.

That support honestly means everything to us.

We couldn’t have done any of this without our amazing staff, our families backing us every step of the way, and every single customer who’s trusted us with their car over the last 3 years.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

And we’re only getting started.

Over the coming weeks we’ll share more of the story behind The Mechanics Glasgow, where it started, the risks, the wins, the setbacks and where we plan to take things next.

Right Glasgow…

Every year Big Davie says he’s ahead of it. Calm. Confident. Living his best life.

Then he checks his MOT.

Due. Tomorrow.

Now he’s pacing the living room like the bookies just shut. Phoning every garage in a 10 mile radius.

“No got anything till next week.”
“But it runs fine!”
“Aye Davie… that’s no the point.”

Here’s the crack. March is chaos. New plates drop, more motors hit the road, and garages get mobbed. It fills up fast. Proper fast.
