Not many people know I offer PPF. And have done for many years. But lets get one thing clear. Its through Minutia Detailing. Mike & I have worked together in the shadows for years. And have a great relationship. He's the only guy i trust with PPF let alone cars im general. His instals are by far the neatest, cleanest installs ever. His attention to detail matches mine and in the PPF world, far exceeds them. Thats why on big, intricate jobs like this. I hand him the keys and let him work his magic. Smaller jobs like front ends etc are done in house at SMC. But jobs like this. Go to Mike's tailor built PPF Studio. Where patterns are customised and installed in the correct conditions and environment. Zero cutting on the car. For a seamless finish. On this occasion he also took care of the coatings including the wheels and glass for me. And the interior clean. I just dropped the car off. Collected it. And got it ready for handover at SMC HQ with my client. And Mike will invoice the client direct which also covers the Xpel Warranty. Team work makes the dream work 💪.

All exterior surfaces cleaned and decontaminated including engine bay and removal of wheels during the wash process to deep clean arch areas. Before getting inside up on the full height scissor ramp. And carry out a dual stage machine polish to remove swirls and light scratches. And then all bodywork ceramic coated. Wheels also coated and glass was polished and coated. The interior had a clean also.

Just me and my DA Polishers.....👊

I see & hear it all the time. "Only real men use Rotary to cut" 🤦‍♂️

It takes patience to master correcting paint with a DA. But once you get that technique & combo right. You'll realise. You can cut just as many defects out with a DA. But not have to clear a load of hazing or trails up after. And some paints. Like the one pictured. Can be done like this with just two passes. One heavy cutting pass with a microfibre cutting disc and compound. Then a pass with a medium pad and polish. One thing you have to make sure when cutting is. After each pass you clean the pad. My way is the lake country pad washer. Then airline to blow it out after. Pretty much brand new every pass. Thats the key to keeping a clean cut every pass 👌. And before anyone calls me out. I can and do use Rotary when needed. But for me, how I've got my DA system set up. I much prefer the way I do it. As the saying goes. Everyone is different. But just because you've tried a DA once with a foam pad and inferior product. And its not worked. And you watch those icky videos of the guys in the US slating DA polishers. Don't assume it can't work.

2025 Mercedes CLA Enhancement Detail & ceramic coatings. With a wheel refurbishment.

All exterior surfaces cleaned and decontaminated including engine bay and removal of wheels during the wash process to deep clean arch areas. Before getting inside up on the full height scissor ramp to inspect all bodywork. Then it was a dual stage machine polish to remove swirls and light scratches before degreasing and panel wiping and then applying Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light Ceramic coating to all bodywork. Glass was polished and coated using the Gyeon Q2M View system. Wheels, calipers & arches were coated using Gtechniq C5 Wheel armour. Interior was vacuumed and wiped down and all interior glass was cleaned.

All surfaces cleaned and decontaminated including engine bay and removal of wheels during the wash process to deep clean arch areas. Once the vehicle was inside it was up on the full height scissor ramp to inspect all areas. And carry out a dual stage machine polish to remove swirls and light scratches before applying Gtechniq C2v4 ceramic sealant to all bodywork. Glass was polished and coated using the Gyeon Q2M View system. And the interior had a valet including carpet shampoo.

This car has now been transformed back to brand new condition and is protected for winter. And will be maintained by myself monthly for the foreseeable future

Its only right the SMC Workhorse gets a feature on the grid. After all. It puts in the graft and has to put up with me not only driving it hard. But only being cleaned 2-3 times a year. After a year of ownership I'm now happy with how it looks. A few subtle additions. Pro Race LT wheels wrapped in Uniroyal Tires 225 50 18 Rainsport 5's. And Maxton Design UK front splitter and rear tailgate spoiler.

I keep being asked if I'll lower it. I Probably won't. As don't wanna compromise the ride quality. And I don't wanna drop £1.5k on a set of adjustable coilovers for a work van. The next mods will be sound system I think. Along with sound deadening. But for now. The will be grafting as per usual.
