🔧 Towbar fitted! 🚐💪

Today’s job: fitting a towbar to our Mk1 M59 Citroën Berlingo Multispace. Our own van.

This was definitely a fight to the end 😂 but after plenty of effort, patience (and probably a few choice words!), we finally got there!

All our own work, carried out by my partner — and we’re pretty pleased with the result. 💪👏

Now just one little thing left to figure out… the wiring! 🔌😅

One job at a time — we’ll get there! 🚐🔧

🔧 Perodua Kelisa 2008 – Job Completed!
Another job successfully sorted on a Perodua Kelisa 2008 today.

A friend had unfortunately snapped a bolt on the plate that tensions the power steering pump belt which meant the belt was loose and couldn’t be re tensioned. At first it looked like it might turn into a much bigger problem and that the pump was condemned being parts for these cars are no longer obtainable in the UK.

After carefully removing the pump and bracket plate, we worked on extracting the snapped bolt. Big thanks to his friend Matthew, who helped grind and remove the damaged bolt down so we could weld a new one in place. What looked impossible at the start ended up being completely fixable.

While we were there, we also carried out a few extra bits of maintenance.
🔆Fitted 3 new spark plugs
🔆Replaced the windscreen wipers
🔆Repaired and refitted the power steering pump bolt.

We honestly didn’t think that bolt was coming out at first, but with a bit of patience, the right tools, and teamwork, we got it done and the car is back together properly.
Another example that even tricky jobs can be sorted with the right approach. 💪

Little bit of progress on one of our motors over the weekend Belamè 🔧

Swapped out the shocks and replaced the wing panel that had seen better days. Nice to get it back together and looking a lot better again.
Slowly getting there with this one — few more jobs to do but it’s good to tick a couple of jobs off the list. 🚗 Nearly ready for the camping 🏕 season to begin.
Even our dog Hugo helped supervise 😂🐕

🚗🔧 Another job completed today!
I was out today diagnosing a Ford Transit MK7 Van with a brake issue. I carried out a full brake bleed in the hope it would solve the problem, but unfortunately the issue is still present, so a bit more work will be needed to get it fully sorted.
Even though the issue wasn’t completely resolved today, the customer was very pleased with the service and appreciated the honest diagnosis and time taken to explain everything clearly. 👍
I always aim to provide reliable, honest and professional service, making sure customers understand exactly what’s going on with their vehicle.
If you’re experiencing issues with your vehicle or need diagnostics, servicing or repairs, feel free to get in touch! 🔧🚗

🚗❄️ Winter Car Care Tips! ❄️🚗
Cold weather can be tough on your vehicle, but a few simple checks can save you from breakdowns and costly repairs later.

✅ Check your battery: Cold temperatures reduce power—make sure it’s tested and fully charged.
✅ Top up antifreeze: Prevent your engine from freezing up by keeping coolant levels correct.
✅ Inspect tyres: Ensure proper tread depth and pressure for safe grip on icy roads.
✅ Clean and protect: Wash off road salt regularly to prevent rust, and apply wax for extra protection.
✅ Wipers & lights: Replace worn wiper blades and make sure all lights are bright and clear.

A little winter care goes a long way to keeping your car running smoothly and safely all season long.

Stay safe and drive smart this winter! 🚘✨
