So a little bit of repetition. The last post I made about payments has some sort of worked!

Now I’m on to “do not contact me on Sundays”.
I don’t work Sundays full stop! Some I have but that’s on me.
And again, if I was a garage with a landline number too that garage I wouldn’t be contactable as no body would be there! but because I’m mobile and have a mobile number people think it’s acceptable to contact me on a Sunday !

If I want to reply to a customer then I can as that’s my choice even on A SUNDAY.

It’s Sunday, even if I wanted to reply, it can’t be resolved if I needed parts as the motor factors arnt open AND NEITHER AM I!

14 texts and 9 missed calls I’ve ignored today!

Genuinely do not care who it offends whether current or previous customers. There’s always cars to be fixed.
Rather lose customers and have a peaceful Sunday off than people who take liberty’s and think just because there’s an issue with the car and you have my mobile number it’s still acceptable to contact me ON A SUNDAY!
Deal with it or find another mechanic!

From now on all work will be paid for on completion. Vehicle keys will not be handed over until the bill is paid. Hard to put it like that but from yesterday and today I’m owed a substantial amount of money from 5 customers now . Certain customers have replied and still not paid and others have ignored. Time for a change but thanks for all customers that continuously provide me with work ❤️

My working hours are from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday - Friday. Saturdays are 9am-5pm. Sundays closed.

As I’ve said before and I can only put this point across so politely on here… all customers I am grateful for the work…. But for the couple of odd balls that thinks it’s acceptable to message me or CALL at 4am, 6:35am, 7:35pm or even 9:44pm.
These certain customers will have no further work done by me!!

If I was a based garage with a landline you would not be able to contact me before 9 or after 5.

All I ask is a bit of courtesy and a bit of common sense on timing of contacting. We all have a life out of work

2012 Ford focus 1.0 litre eco boost for head gasket due to severe deterioration of the underside of the cylinder head meeting the gasket was disformed/melted causing it to completely cut out due to no compression.

Sump plug removed and it was like turning a hose pipe on before I seen any oil 😂😂

New head gasket, oil pump belt, timing belt, water pump…. Oil and filter and coolant ready to put in first thing in morning once rtv sealer has set then off for mot.

Also due to this, with head gasket issues I always advise running the car for 3-4 days then do a fresh oil and filter change again due to water mixing with the oil.

All done and dusted

Just to put it out there which I really should have made a post from the beginning and pinned it to the top.

If I supply and fit a part and that part becomes faulty within the time frame or driven mileage by the motor factors for warranty, then you are covered by myself for labour and parts under warranty.

If you decide to take it elsewhere you are in no way, shape or form covered under my warranty whatsoever!!

Anyone that wants to argue that fact can happily take it to trading standards. I’m a reasonable guy and will always work with you. Never in 5-6 years have I ever come across this scenario until now. Just putting it out there for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately I’m not taking on any more work for the next 3 weeks. I’ve got a back log as long as the m1 motorway.
Will update customers when I’m back to normal business.

For any work within these 3 weeks contact David Coultas directly or phone number is 07762 469538 but please don’t phone him at daft hours like I’ve had lately. It’s not appreciated.! Vehicles will have to be taken to him.

Just a respectful note to customers. I drastically appreciate your custom and I could not run my business without your custom! So I thank you for that!

I am human and have a life and a family and I am available from 8:30 to 9am until 5:30. Any phone calls after that time will not be answered.

If I had a garage with a landline then closing time would be 5ish so don’t feel like you can phone me after 6-7 or 8.

Happy new year to all customers new and existing before the clock strikes 12. Unfortunately I’m still not taking any bookings at the moment until I’ve cleared the jobs that I currently have but you all have my number or can happily message me for even just advice. Unfortunately I’m not taking on any more work this month as I have to much on and want all jobs complete before I’m off for Christmas so that I can enjoy the Christmas period and not dwell on outstanding jobs like I do every night 👀 appreciate every single person that comes to me to have their cars repaired. It’s greatly appreciated

So I’m back on the road again after 4-5 days off due to the car. The van is here and I have the odd job in tomorrow which is coming to me tomorrow which again completely grateful for bringing it to me and I hoped full service was resumed tomorrow but I’ve been to busy sorting everything out so from Tuesday van will be sorted and 100% back to mobile from Tuesday. Thank you all massively
