A week that reminds you why you do the job.
Sam Clarke said
"Being a General Manager can sometimes be all about the numbers, targets, performance, challenges, customers, budgets and the never-ending list of things that need fixing!
But then you have weeks like this, which remind you that people are at the heart of what we do."
One of the most rewarding parts of the role is being able to recognise colleagues who have given so much of their working lives to the business.
This week, we celebrated Daisy Gay reaching 10 years and Nick Pierro reaching an incredible 20 years with us.
We already shared their individual milestones, so I won’t repeat the details but seeing the genuine pride and appreciation that comes with these moments really does make you stop and think.
10 years. 20 years. That represents thousands of days, countless customers, challenges overcome, changes embraced, laughs shared and, most importantly, a huge contribution to the people and business around them.
As General Managers, we can get caught up in the day-to-day pressures of running a business. But ultimately, this is why we do the job.
Congratulations again to Daisy and Nick, your loyalty and commitment are genuinely appreciated.
Proud to have you both as part of the team. 👏
