Cistus Incanus occurs in the form of a shrub mainly in a warm area of the Mediterranean sea (Greece, Turkey), mostly on dry mountain slopes in magnesium-rich soil. The plant has a high content of polyphenols (flavonoids), greater than in red wine, which protect the plant from UV radiation, oxidation and vermin.
