Jacksons of Reading, Spencers Wood are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Technician to join our established and busy workshop.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, and is committed to providing a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

YOU WILL NEED

✔️ Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician
✔️ Relevant NVQ/qualification
✔️ Experience working across a wide range of makes and models
✔️ Strong knowledge of engines, gearboxes, clutches, brakes and general repairs
✔️ Good diagnostic skills and experience with diagnostic equipment
✔️ Your own tools
✔️ A full, clean UK, Irish or EU driving licence
✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔️ Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills

WHAT WE OFFER

💷 £35,000–£45,000+ overtime per year, depending on experience
🕗 Monday–Friday: 8am–6pm
🗓️ Alternate Saturdays: 8am –1pm
🌴 21 days’ holiday including bank holidays
💰 Company pension scheme
👕 Uniform provided

• Maintaining MOT and customer records
• Sending service & MOT reminders
• Stock and general office administration
• Managing staff holiday and timekeeping records

✔️ Is confident working with numbers
