Copied from another, but so very true!
How is it that some very nervous people manage to overcome their nerves and pass their tests 1st time?
Firstly everyone has nerves when they take a test, believe it or not, I still get nervous and worried when my pupils go on test, most instructors do.
But there are steps you can take to overcome those nerves and gain that test pass.
The first positive step is knowing and sticking to your routines.
I like every other instructor nag about routines, the fact is solid routines are the baseline for a confident drive, they also minimise mistakes, talk yourself through them.
Lane discipline, so many tests failed every day due to poor lane discipline.
To travel ahead we use the LEFT lane, you go into the RIGHT lane to overtake, to turn RIGHT or if ONE arrow tells you to, if two arrows inform you that you can go ahead try and use the LEFT if possible.
OBSERVATIONS, yeah I know we instructors are a pain in the butt nagging about them, but they are the cause of many fails and also one of the main contributors to accidents.
RUMOURS donβt listen to other peoples accounts about tests, how the examiners can only pass so many people, the examiners mark what YOU do on test, remember the test sheet is blank when you start, try and keep it that way by driving as you have been taught.
RESCUE REMEDY, for nerves, does it work? All of my pupils who have used it swear by it.
THEORY TEST, often when passed is just forgotten, there is never a more important time to revise your theory than the week leading up to your test, all those road markings and signs you will look for on your test are there to help you, so know them.
DONβT tell others when your test is, you donβt need an audience, tell them after you have passed.
LESSONS, missed lessons are missed opportunities, the more you miss, the more nervous you become, driving is a skill, just like a sport, you must practice regularly for the big match.
Hope this helps, good luck and talk to your instructors we are here to help.ππ₯π₯
