This Audi came to the shop struggling with a persistent P2002002 fault code. After diving into the diagnostics, we identified the culprit: a completely choked EGR cooler.

The Problem

As you can see from the photos, the cooler was entirely blocked by AdBlue crystallization. This isn’t just bad luck—it’s a design flaw we’re seeing more and more across these specific models.

The Solution

Replacing these is an intricate, “surgical” job, but we didn’t stop there. To ensure this Audi stays on the road for the long haul, we performed:

• ✅ Full Timing Belt Service * ✅ Major Vehicle Service
• ✅ Custom AdBlue Solution (to stop future crystallization in its tracks!)

We recently took in this 2018 Nissan Qashqai 1.2 DIG-T that was stuck in a frustrating cycle. The owner was dealing with a persistent Engine Signal Fault and limp mode every time the car hit 40mph.

Despite visiting other shops and even having a brand-new turbo installed just two months ago, the problem wouldn’t go away.

🔍 Our Diagnostic Findings:
Sometimes, replacing the part that failed isn’t enough—you have to find out why it failed. Our deep-dive inspection revealed:

• Stretched Timing Chain: Caused by a blocked timing chain oil jet, starving the system of lubrication.
• Seized “New” Turbo: The recently replaced turbo had already failed again.
• The Root Cause: A faulty oil pump and heavy carbon build-up were preventing oil from reaching critical components.

✅ The Fix:
We didn’t just swap parts; we fixed the source of the issue. We replaced the faulty oil pump, the timing chain kit, and the turbo, followed by a comprehensive engine flush and service to ensure clear oil flow.
The result? One happy customer and a Qashqai that finally drives perfectly again! 💨

This 2021 DT306 came to us with a glowing engine light and a handful of performance issues. The culprit? A leaking intercooler. 💨

Mini Paceman 1.6 Petrol (2014) | Timing Chain Rattle & Emission Fix

This 2014 Mini Paceman rolled in with the classic timing chain rattle and an emissions failure.

Our diagnosis confirmed the timing was slightly off, the root cause of both the high emissions and the noticeable noise during start-up.

The Fix: We installed a brand new timing chain kit, performed a full service, and replaced the O2 sensor and one camshaft sensor.

Transit Connect 1.5 Diesel - 8mm cam chain upgrade

We recently worked on this 2019 Transit Connect 1.5 Diesel, fitted with the DV5 engine. If you know these, you know the cam chain can be a real headache! This customer unfortunately experienced an engine failure, so we arranged to fit a new engine and immediately upgraded it with a beefier 8mm cam chain.

Plus, it made perfect sense to replace the timing belt and water pump while we were at it. This van is now set up for years of reliable work!
