Meadspeed Autos In April 1979 whilst working at Cannons Motor Spares I went to the Borg Warner Training at Letchworth. (Institute of the Motor Industry) and F.A.T.E.

From then on people asked me what was wrong with their box. I started working part time self employed and work snowballed so I eventually rented a workshop in Margate and went full time self employed.. I moved to Westgate in 1988.I became a member of the I.M.I. (Federation of Automatic Transmission Engineers). I undertake annual training to cover some of the new transmissions that are now availabl

e. I moved to St. Nicholas in 1998 until 2005. Buying a new unit in Faversham in 2008 and now moved back to Thanet (Manston). I have recently invested in the special tools for the DCT transmission and the clutch tooling for the VW group OAM box.

DCT450 when the double clutch is beyond salvagable l have been using Ford or Volvo exchange units. Had this back at just under a year with no drive and auto adaptive learning not done. Tried to do the relearn many times with no success. Parameters not met. On trying to do the clutch relearn, l had to release the throttle when the revs went too high. l checked the transmission temperature and then the cooler lines. Cooler lines were room temperature indicating no flow. Pulled out box to find this.

Not seen a Kuga or any Ford with a gen 2 powershift before. Leak of transmission fluid and engine oil from bellhousing area. Box out and found a couple of spring coils and other debris in the bellhousing.
