All what was left of the filters, with a similar new one for comparison. We see a lot of Hondas in particular suffering this problem, whether it’s additives in the fuel or the E10 fuel I dont know, but they suffer badly from rough idle, lack of power and bogging down under load.

Now this is better !!! after an extended 24,000 pulse back flush and ultrasonic clean these injectors are now performing ASNU…

I’m seeing a high failure rate particularly in Honda Keihin injectors over the last few months due to the filters breaking up. Is there a link to the increase in methanol now on our forecourt’s ? Are any users finding the same issue?

Take the guesswork out of your diagnostics. Here we have an audi with a rough idle, intermittent misfire and fuel mixture woes. Test not guess. 👍

BMW injector fails are often attributed to the seat and pintle which suffer from corrosion, pitting, a build up of deposits caused by poor quality fuel, cheap magic potion additives and long idle times. We don't recommend cleaning as this in itself removes deposits and can actually cause a leak. If we find a leaking unit when testing then there is nothing to lose by attempting an ultrasonic clean. It is very rare to recover a leaking unit, there are no serviceable parts other than the combustion seal and filter basket. So when its done its done.

Leak testing a set of BMW Piezo injectors unfortunately all 4 have failed in this set, particularly at idle and the higher operating pressure any leaks no matter how small cause all sorts of idling and misfire issues.

I think it’s fair to say that this honda isn’t going to be running very well … with multiple issues with flow rates and spray patterns.
