A massive thank you to everyone that made our open day so special and helped us raise a phenomenal amount for a fantastic charity.

A huge thank you to all of our team who start preparing for the day months in advance and everyone that helps us out on the day making sure everything runs smoothly.

Also a thank you to all the local businesses that helped support the day by donating vouchers for prizes Stakepool Stores Ltd, Pilling Chippy, Seddons Butchers, Walling's Ice Cream and the Elletsons Arms. Also to William and Bentley for helping raise money by selling baked goods and Connie Smethurst for donating notebooks to sell. A special thank you must go to Paul Tyler and Gillian Tyler who helped raise a fantastic amount by kindly raffling a boat trip hosted by them.

And lastly, but certainly not least, thank you to everybody that came and made it a brilliant day and thank you for helping support a really worthwhile cause.

One of our resident woodpeckers is busy taking care of a nest full of young. Fantastic watching it pop back to the nest every couple of minutes.

Had a lovely suprise visitor this morning. We really do have some truly amazing wildlife.
There is a family of 7 that can be seen on the surrounding farmland if you keep your eyes peeled.

What better way to spend some time than watching little lambs bouncing around being silly.

The lambs have been coming thick and fast over the weekend so this morning we have moved our ewes and lambs into our lambing field (at the entrance to the fishing lakes next to the barn)

Finally! Lambs have arrived! They were due to commence on good friday so we have been on tenterhooks since then.

Our ram Big Sid must have spent a bit of time getting reaquainted and wooing his ladies before rushing into anything too serious this year.

In the video the second lamb is only a few minutes old and captures him taking his very first steps. His sister is perhaps half an hour old or so and already confident(ish) on her feet and up drinking.

Unfortunately it is still a bit wet in our lambing field so we will be bringing them down next week with hopefully lots more little bundles of joy with them.
