This is what happens to the peugeot 3008,5008 and citroen c4 grand piccaso semi auto. Dual mass flywheel failure which deposits swarf all over the sensor on the concentric slave cylinder usually between 60-80000 miles.

Peugeot 3008/5008,Citroen C4 picasso semi automatic. This vehicle came to me unable to select gears as with most of these vehicles it throws up all sorts of codes. The main reason for the failure is the dual mass flywheel if you look at the flywheel retaining bolts you will see the wear marks close to the centre which is a good indication the flywheel has failed. The swarf that comes off the bolts/ flywheel then attach to the sensor on the concentric slave cylinder (pic 2) thus blocking the signals to the Transmission control unit. Here at M&K Transmissions can replace your Dual mass flywheel, clutch and concentric slave cylinder then reprogram the Transmission control unit at a lower price than main dealers and comes with a 12months/12000 miles warranty, most failures occur between 60-80000 miles.
