A good trip up through the BCN (Birmingham Canal Navigations). Where canals and motorways meet.

Despite a last-minute stoppage, empty pounds and a few lock issues, a reroute meant a successful delivery in the end, and a happy owner ready to enjoy his new boat.

Big thanks to the CRT team for coming out and getting the locks operating again!

A lovely end to the trip, I was kindly given a thoughtful gift by the client, which was very much appreciated. It’s always a pleasure meeting such genuinely lovely people.

It was an absolute privilege to deliver their new home to them, and I hope they enjoy many happy years aboard her. Wishing them all the best in their life on the water.

Amazing aerial shots from above the canal, sweeping over Watford Locks and Foxton Locks, with the staircase locks standing out from above. The oilseed r**e fields stretching out across the countryside making spring look amazing.

A great trip up the Grand Union’s Leicester Branch, with clear signs of spring along the way, especially the nesting swans making themselves at home on the cut. A good run through the tunnels, and Watford and Foxton staircase locks.
