Turbo Rebuild

Today, we felt we needed to shine a spotlight on a legend of a person.

So, after offering a customer a cost of repair quotation for a Turbocharger rebuild, the customer contacted us and informed us he had found somewhere cheaper.

That’s perfectly fine by us; we know there are cheaper in the industry and we would never want to complete works where the customer does not value the service we offer for the price charged.

As such, we facilitated the boxing and shipping of the turbocharger to the other re-conditioner... Sadly, although the address was correct, the postcode was not, and so the parcel was successfully delivered... to the incorrect business.

At this point we requested the courier to return and recover the parcel, which was unsuccessful.

We managed to find the business owner's details and contacted them, who advised they were rarely there and to send the courier back and “hopefully, someone will be there to give the parcel to them”.

Checking the distance and seeing the location was only a 5 minute drive from the required delivery location, we contacted the Turbo Reconditioner, explained the situation, gave the customer name (who had been in contact with them multiple times that day also) and also the location of where the parcel was delivered too, however, this didnt create a solution.

Things were looking pretty bleak and after looking to see if we could find a core unit, it got bleaker with little option of replacement.
As a last resort, a plea was put out if anyone in the delivery area could help out and up stepped Scott Newry.
Despite not being super close, Scott said he would drive over on Saturday and see what he could do, and true to his word, a call on Saturday confirmed the parcel had been recovered! Not only this, but Scott offered to hand deliver to the correct location, which unfortunately by the time he got there had closed.

Whilst working out how to proceed, Scott messaged and said although he can’t get the parcel there for Monday as he was at Santapod, he will hand deliver on Tuesday!

With it being nothing to do with him, to take the time and effort to locate and recover the parcel, then attempt to delivery it (albeit unsuccessfully) and THEN offer to go out of his way to again travel over and hand deliver the parcel on Tuesday is amazing and we are forever grateful.

Anyone that knows Scott knows he is willing to help anyone... a proper good guy, but we felt in today’s world we live in, acts of kindness like this should be spotlighted.

Start em young they say!!

The youngest of the family has helped out around the place for a while, but the older she gets, the more roles she asks for. Today she’s received her new uniform to prevent damaging her own clothes or school clothes!

Despite her repeated requests, we are not ready to let her quit school to work with us full time 🤣
