🚦 Taking your driving test in Portsmouth? You need to understand the Marriott Hotel Junction.

It’s a substantial traffic-light-controlled crossroads with multiple lanes, pedestrian crossings and traffic moving in several directions. Choose the wrong lane and you could find yourself heading towards an entirely different destination—including the motorway.

In our latest video, we cover the junction from several different approaches and explain how to:

✅ Read the directional signs early
✅ Confirm your lane using road markings
✅ Follow the guide lines through the junction
✅ Manage two lanes turning together
✅ Apply the “left is best” principle
✅ Spot the give-way markings after the lights

This isn’t just a video telling you which lanes to memorise. It’s about understanding how to use the information available, so you can work out the correct lane for yourself.
