UKOPRA - couldn’t race today on the waterfront so instead they hired the Miniport boats for an hour and a half and ran a separate UKOPRA Electric Mini Championship from 15:00 - 16:30 plus Podiums at 17:00 after. A lot of fun was had!

We are really sad to say the original founder of MiniPort and whom we purchased the business from some 15years and whom I used to build the MiniPort boats with has sadly passed away yesterday 12.7.2026. David Ritchie was the founder and the brains behind the creation of MiniPort.

David was battling a long illness and sadly passed away yesterday at Sobell House Hospice.

David was a good friend, an inspiration and will be very sadly missed.

Rest in peace David x
