We are really sad to say the original founder of MiniPort and whom we purchased the business from some 15years and whom I used to build the MiniPort boats with has sadly passed away yesterday 12.7.2026. David Ritchie was the founder and the brains behind the creation of MiniPort.

David was battling a long illness and sadly passed away yesterday at Sobell House Hospice.

David was a good friend, an inspiration and will be very sadly missed.

Rest in peace David x

MiniPort at Gunwharf Quays are looking for staff to help us with the 2026 season.

We are looking for enthusiastic, fun, great with children team members to work with us, must be at least 17 years old, good rate of pay, working weekends and school holidays.

Main job would be running the pontoon, helping customers onto our boats, observing them on the water for safety.

No experience necessary as full training will be provided however you must be able to swim as this is working on water.
