As with most test candidates, Mollys nerves were quite high yet she managed them really well to pull out a fantastic first time pass with just a handful of minors.
Molly chose to use her own car and Lee on Solent for her test where she immediately set up a good rapport with her examiner, they were laughing before they left the DTC.

Molly started her learning journey with an intense course with John's Happy Driving Academy and came to me for the last few lessons and benefited from a diffent perspective.

Many congratulations Molly. I hope your boys behave themselves on the school run and we look forward to seeing you for motorway tuition and on the roads of Portsmouth in your super little MINI!

Well that’s something that doesn’t happen every day. Kian here has just passed his driving test and, as he is demonstrating, he gave a faultless drive!
His examiner had nothing to speak about at the end except to say it was a lovely drive.

I might add that it was an exceptional drive Kian as you were so well prepared for today. Many congratulations from me and Happy Driving Academy and I hope you have a fantastic summer and trip away with Alex (who passed their test with me earlier this month).

The deluge of rain on the trip to Lee on Solent wasn’t enough to dent Lucy’s confidence as she revisited the DTC today. With only a handful of minors she managed to drive herself around the lovely coastal town and carry away that coveted pass certificate.

It was a lovely drive said the examiner if a little cautious. But this now means that Lucy is now off searching for her first car with her dad’s help.

Good luck Lucy and I hope you have some fantastic adventures in your car.

May I introduce two of today’s newest FLH’s, Jack and Alex. Both first timers at Portsmouth DTC and chalking up just 6 minors between them.

Alex was first up this morning and they had a lovely drive. The examiner was impressed at how they handled and overtook a slower candidate also on test!

Followed very quickly by Jack who also had a great drive even though his nerves were showing a little. Thanks to his mum Anne who brought him to near Alex’s home for a quick swap over!

Well done to both of you. It’s great to have both of you smash this on your first attempt, now your next licence milestone is at 70!!

Of course there were a few nerves this morning as Miran took to the roads just before his test. How many times have ADI’s thought ‘why are you going to test!’, but as they say a bad dress rehearsal, a good performance. And that’s exactly what Miran achieved today at Portsmouth DTC. Yes there were a few minors, who doesn’t, but his drive was worthy of the pass certificate he walked, no, drove away with.

A brilliant result for you, I’m so chuffed. Now you can go out and operate your vehicle cleaning business without having to be dropped off to a customers house.

When you revisit the test centre nerves can be worse than the first time, but not for Nicole here. She was feeling very calm about today’s drive at Portsmouth DTC and it showed on test. She especially liked how relaxed the examiner was and said that this help put her at ease.

Well done Nicole, now you can now join your twin sister as you scoot around in your 500’s!

The skies over Portsmouth were glowing when this photo was taken, but at the start of her test the clouds were raining down on her parade. But that did not prevent Isabel from taking charge of the situation and busting a pass at the first time of asking.

Well done Isabel. That was a really great drive and a well deserved pass. I hope you have lots of adventures in your new car, but please, drive safe for life.

Was this a pass celebration at Starbucks? We ended every lesson with a coffee for the drive home and this time Leigh certainly deserved one!

This was a first time pass for her after some real dedication in her lessons even after being made redundant from her job.
Now with a new job Leigh can now drive there independently as well as go to her fabulous gigs.

This was a great pass Leigh and I will miss our coffee stops. Take care on the roads and give me a wave if we pass.

Jasmine was absolutely delighted to pass her driving test this morning at Portsmouth DTC. With only one minor driver fault her examiner said that she drove very nicely and tried to take her mind away from the nerves she was feeling.

It has been a real pleasure helping Jasmine to pass today and I know she will drive safely when she braves the task independently!

Congratulations Jasmine, I look forward to seeing you as you drive around Waterlooville 👏🏻👏🏻🎉

The rain today was atrocious. Most people detest driving in these conditions. And they are experienced drivers. Imagine you’re a new driver out on your test.
Which is exactly how Gurpreet was today. Despite the heavy rain and standing water she was complimented on her skills and handling during her drive and only picked up a handful of minors.

Congratulations Gurpreet. Now you can join your brother in the queue for the keys to the family car!
