What a 6 and a bit months its been for Brooke Towner my Granddaughter.
In June she turned 17 and started her driving lessons
In September she started work and passed her theory test.
In December she went to Eurodisney in Paris with a friend
Then today she passed her driving testat the first attempt with only 1 driving fault.

Today was the last time this will be seen on the roads around Portsmouth, its time to say goodbye to my trusty Top Box after 8 years of loyal service.

Today was my final official test, bowing out with a 6 out of six tests passes, I have 1 paying pupil now until I retire on 31st October, but will have my youngest daughter and my Granddaughter learning with me until they both pass.
It's been great 8 years since I started met lots of lovely people in that time, pupils, fellow driving instructors and driving examiners I'll miss you all, I'll keep an eye out for you on the roads.

Well, I made the big decision, im retiring, not immediately as I still have pupils with tests and some with a few lessons behind them, so I'm planning to see them through to their tests, I've also stopped taking on new pupils.
The way the tests are at the moment I won't be fully retired until sometime next year unless my pupils stop taking lessons, or find another instructor.
