We are absolutely delighted to announce the newest addition to the Redcliffe Driving School team, Ben Treloar. Ben joins us as a Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) and brings a wealth of coaching expertise and community spirit to the passenger seat.

Ben will officially begin taking on new students from mid-June. Initially, his lessons will be available exclusively during evenings and weekends while he carefully balances his transition from his current professional commitments.
Looking ahead to August and September, Ben will be focusing all his energy on securing his final Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) qualification. As he enters this final phase, we anticipate opening up additional daytime availability for new students, and we will publish further updates closer to the time.

Ben transitions into the driving instruction industry following a highly successful 18-year career in primary education, serving as both a teacher and a sports coach. He is also deeply embedded in the local community, dedicating his time to coaching both junior and adult football teams right here in Portishead. This extensive background means Ben is exceptionally well-practised at adapting his communication style to suit a wide variety of ages, personalities, and learning preferences.

With over 20 years of personal driving experience, Ben has a lifelong passion for being behind the wheel and is eager to help new learners succeed. He perfectly translates his professional teaching background into the vehicle, offering a naturally calm, patient, and approachable manner.
Ben understands that no two learners are the same. He excels at tailoring his lesson plans to support each student's individual needs throughout their driving journey. His ultimate goal is not just to help his students pass their driving test, but to equip them with the fundamental skills, confidence, and knowledge required to be safe, responsible drivers for life.
