The second phase of works in Tides is now almost complete! 🎉

Once the floors are complete, we’ll be ready for the new furniture to arrive and put the finishing touches to the space. 🪑✨

🔨 TIDES UPDATE! 🌊

The second phase of works has officially begun in Tides! 🎉
We’re already seeing some great progress, with the toilet worktops now finished and the new bench seating in the Garden Room all in place. 🙌

Work on the floor has started this week and should be completed very soon. Once that’s finished, we’ll be ready for the new furniture to arrive and really bring the space together! 🪑✨

We can’t wait to show you the finished result — watch this space for more updates! 👀

🧶💙 Knit & Natter for Gully’s Place! 💙🧶

Our wonderful Knit & Natter group are out fundraising on Saturday mornings outside Cooks, creating beautiful handmade items while raising money for a fantastic local cause.
If you can knit, crochet, or simply fancy getting involved and supporting the group, why not come along to their Knit & Natter sessions every Tuesday at 3pm in Tides? Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a knitting pro or just starting out! 🧶

💙 What is Gully’s Place?

Gully’s Place is a local charity supporting families affected by loss and provides a specialised, comforting palliative care service and suite for children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in Dorset. Their aim is to provide a safe, welcoming space where families can spend time together, make memories and access support during what can be an incredibly difficult time.

So grab your needles, bring your wool and come and have a natter while helping to support a brilliant cause! 💙

⚠️ Spa Update ⚠️

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update to let you know that the Spa is temporarily closed.

Our team are working hard to get everything back up and running as quickly as possible, and we are currently waiting for an engineer to attend and assist us.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and really appreciate your patience and understanding. 💙

We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information and know when the Spa will be reopening.

🌠 THEN… THE METEOR SHOWER!

Once the Sun goes down, the skies have another treat in store! The Perseid meteor shower will be visible through the night.

🕙 10pm – Midnight: Perseus rises in the northeast, with occasional long-tailed meteors.

🌌 Midnight – 2am: Meteor activity gradually increases as the skies become darker.

⭐ 2am – 4:30am: THE PEAK! Perseus will be high in the sky, with potentially up to 100 meteors per hour!

🌅 4:30am onwards: Morning twilight begins to wash out the display.

🔭 TOP TIPS FOR STARGAZING
✨ Get away from bright lights where possible
✨ Head towards darker areas such as the Purbeck Hills or Studland Beach
✨ Look towards the northeast sky and away from the bright lights of Poole Harbour
✨ Give your eyes time to adjust to the darkness

So grab a blanket, find a comfy spot and keep your eyes on the sky! 🌌✨

Get ready to look up! 👀 On 12th August, Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding areas are expected to see the first contact at around 6:18pm, with the eclipse reaching its maximum at approximately 7:14pm 🌘

🌟 Up to 93% of the Sun could be covered!

If you’re planning on watching this amazing sight from Rockley Park, please remember to wear proper eclipse-safe eye protection. Never look directly at the Sun without suitable protection. 🕶️☀️
