Look at this lot! 🥳♻️⛵

A boot full of recycled sail orders ready for their next adventure — slightly less glamorous than racing round Poole Harbour, but carrying your laundry and shopping is still an important job 🫣

Every bag is handmade here at The Cover & Sail Repair Shop, giving old sails that are beyond repair a useful new life. Each one’s a little different, with a bit of sailing history stitched in.

Thank you to everyone who’s ordered, shared our posts or told a friend. Supporting our little workshop AND helping us keep boats and equipment in use through Dorset Boat Recycling CIC & Services — it means a lot 💚♻️

Right, back to the sewing machine… apparently you lot like bags! 🧵🙌

Busy day in the workshop! 🧵⛵♻️

Today we’ve been turning old sails from Dorset Boat Recycling CIC & Services into wash bags, tote bags and laundry bags.

Giving sails that have reached the end of their sailing life a completely new purpose — and keeping a little more marine waste out of landfill.

If you'd like any of these, or would like something made from your old sails - get in touch!

Old sails, new life. ♻️

ANNUAL LEAVE ☀️⛵

The workshop is officially closed while we take a little summer break!

Any online orders will still be packed and sent out this week, but all repairs, covers, sails and general workshop chaos will resume when we’re back.

See you on 14th September! 👋

⛵ GONE CRUISING! 🌊

The workshop doors are shut, the sails are up and we’re officially out of office until Tuesday.

We’ll get back to all messages, enquiries and boat-cover emergencies when we’re back — hopefully slightly more windswept and considerably less stressed. 😂

Have a cracking weekend! ⛵☀️
