I’m looking for a bit of help or inspiration, I’ve discovered that Mr J Harrison, who did the drawings of the Wardill engine was a member of the A.M.I.A.E I understand this is the Institution of Automobile Engineers, does anyone know if there is a register of their members of if the institution still exists, I’d like to find out more about MR Harrison. Unbelievable progress has been made on the new Wardill Engine. Words cannot express how excited I am with this project, watching an almost forgotten 100 year old design coming back to life, what’s more special for me is that it’s such an unusual design, one that it was aid that the patent officer said wouldn’t work, but it did. A big shout out to Tom Tom Shaw for his work on these drawings.

Ive been developing the Wardill Motorcycle Company for around 10 years, at the beginning my plan was to build a replica of my great grandfathers bike, but at the time building the engine seemed a mammoth task and to be fair it still is, but in those 10 years technology has evolved quite a bit, to a point where I think we can do this! And although it’s still going to be a massive undertaking, I can confirm that development of the Original Engine has started, complete with its 2 piston 3 conrod annular piston! This is going to be an incredibly special project and I can’t wait to share its progress with you all. 😍

Some of you will know that what makes the Original Wardill Motorcycle so special is the patented supercharged 2 stroke engine, none are known to exist and no one alive today has ever heard one running, but an exiting opportunity has arisen that may change that. We are currently looking at the possibility of building one of the original engines! And that’s where you come in, I have one company in mind that I think are up to the task, but I’d like some more, if anyone knows of any companies that would be interested in helping out please tag them in this post.

After yesterdays ride I thought I’d spend the day reorganising the workshop, just looking at the 1:1 print out I have of the original Wardill motorcycle, this is the 3rd iteration and the basis of our reimagined bike, check out how close our new frame is to the original! It’s Near identical 😎

It was way too lovely a day to go home and I wanted to get some miles on the bike so I headed west to Porthcawl for an ice cream, no photo of the ice cram though, I was too busy chatting 🙈🤣

We made a last minute decision to visit the .magazine.and.events show at the Malvern showground, it's our first time at this event and we really enjoyed it, a great selection of cars and bikes, I'm sure we will be back next year, we may even take a bike or two... Ps here are a selection of some of the bikes that caught my eye.
