Before harvest begins, it's always worth giving your machinery a thorough inspection.
A routine pre-harvest inspection helped this customer avoid what could have been a costly breakdown during one of the busiest times of the year.

Photo 2: The bead beginning to separate from the casing, a fault that could have led to tyre failure if left unnoticed.
Photo 3: The tyre's manufacturing date.
This tyre was 26 years old. Unlike tractors, combine harvesters often don't cover enough miles to wear their tyres out, so it's common to see machines still running on very old tyres. While the tread may look perfectly serviceable, the rubber continues to age, and the internal structure can deteriorate over time.
After spotting the issue, the customer got in touch and we were able to supply and fit a replacement tyre on-site the very same day.
Now the combine is harvest-ready, with complete peace of mind that the tyres are safe and reliable when it matters most.
Don't just check the condition of your tyres, check their age too. Look for cuts, cracks, bulges, bead damage, signs of separation, and always check the DOT date code. A tyre that looks good on the outside isn't always safe on the inside, especially after 20+ years of service.
