A major milestone reached on the extensive refit of this 55ft motorboat from our Plymouth Yacht Haven site

The amount of preparation invested in getting these topsides to the priming stage has been unprecedented. Meticulous preparation, countless hours and incredible attention to detail from the team have brought her to this point.

She’s now curing and ready for the next stage of preparation before the topcoat is applied. Scaffolding is already being erected, ready for the spray booth to be created around her.

A huge well done to the entire team for their due care and attention throughout every aspect of this project. The results speak for themselves.

Paint means progress and this one is going to be something special.

Another EVO decking installation completed in the cockpit of this Elan yacht from our Plymouth Yacht Havensite.

The failed cockpit seating throughout was meticulously removed, with the substrate then carefully prepared ready for its transformation.

Design, manufacture and installation of the new Evo decking — all completed in-house by our team of time-served marine decking experts.

As ever, every aspect of the project completed on time and on budget, with the attention to detail and finish you’d expect from Plymouth’s marine decking experts.

Our gelcoat specialist is, as ever, working his magic on this Oyster yacht from our Plymouth Yacht Haven site.

As insurance-approved marine specialists, we’ve been commissioned to carry out a comprehensive programme of repairs following a collision.

The first stage has involved multiple structural and cosmetic repairs to the topsides, with our specialist team carefully restoring the damaged areas to the required standards.

Next, we’ll move on to the removal of the existing pulpit and stanchions, with the onsite fabrication specialists DB Fabs producing and installing new 316 stainless steel components.

To finish the project, our shipwrights will carry out repairs to the teak capping rail, bringing everything back together to complete the
Insurance repairs.

Next one in at our Yacht Haven Quay site.

This one is in for the full underwater hull treatment, and our team of specialists are already well underway following the initial shot blasting process to remove the existing coating system.

The hull will now be fully abraded to achieve the correct substrate profile before comprehensive moisture readings are taken. Once the hull reaches the required moisture levels, we’ll begin applying the epoxy primer system to the specified micron thickness, ensuring the perfect foundation for the remaining stages of the treatment.

As always, there’s no cutting corners. Every stage is carried out to the highest standards, following the correct processes and manufacturer specifications to deliver a finish that will stand the test of time.

Stay tuned as another full transformation gets underway.

Great progress is being made on this major refit at our Plymouth Yacht Haven site. MV Jam First is currently under our care for a truly extensive works package, including:

• Complete paintworks with extensive filling and fairing
• New EVO decking throughout
• Fabrication and welding repairs by the onsite specialists at DB Fabs
•Helm position redesigned
•Coppercoat to the UW hull

The level of preparation required has been immense, but the team are delivering on every front. Every stage is being completed to the highest standard, ensuring the final result is nothing short of exceptional.

It won’t be long before the topcoat starts going on, and that’s when this project will really come to life.

The before-and-after photos of this refit are going to be something truly special.

The owner of this 20-year-old Dufour Yachts came to us with a clear vision, and after extensive consultation we developed a refurbishment plan to bring it to life.

She was booked into our Yacht Haven Quay facility where the transformation began. The tired teak decks were removed throughout before the substrate was meticulously prepared for the design, manufacture and installation of premium EVO decking across all deck areas. Expertly completed by our team of time-served marine decking specialists, it’s another example of why we’re Plymouth’s proven experts in marine decking.

The project didn’t stop there. Additional works included:
• New through-hulls and pipework throughout.
• Bespoke stainless steel fabrication by DB Fabs.
• Multiple colour-matched gelcoat repairs.
• Full detailing to finish.
• Complete rigging renewal by Hemisphere Rigging Services

The topsides of this yacht at Queen Anne's Battery sustained damage to both the port and starboard midships, in over four large areas,requiring specialist repairs and a tight turnaround to get her back on the water and making the most of the stunning weather.

Our team got straight to work, completing the repairs to the highest standard. The process included filling and fairing, precision colour matching, brushing in the gelcoat, and carefully working through the grades to achieve a flawless mirror finish. The cove line was reinstated where required, leaving an invisible repair and another delighted owner.

Quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and delivering on time—it’s what we do.

The team pulled out all the stops to get her over the line—and what a transformation!

Just look at that shine. The topside refurbishment has been completed to the highest standard, and she’s now safely back on the water where she belongs.

Next up: a teak deck refurbishment. Here’s hoping this fantastic weather sticks around!

A mammoth polishing job is underway at our Plymouth Yacht Haven site!

This impressive 65ft Swan is receiving the care and attention she deserves. At this size, she’s too large for the cradles, so the work has to be completed using a lift-and-hold arrangement, making for a very tight turnaround. The team have been putting in some longer days to get the job done safely and on schedule.

Quite possibly the tallest vessel we’ve worked on, the project requires a high-access tower and full fall-arrest harnesses throughout.

As you can see, the transformation has been remarkable already.

A huge well done to the team for their hard work, professionalism, and commitment. Great effort, gents!
