We found a little bit of rust behind the front shock on this Jaguar XK8 we have been doing work on. So the front subframe had to be lowered which then revealed a much bigger problem. This is now the third Jaguar XK8 we have had to do this to. Unfortunately the front subframe has an upright that completely hides this part of the car. As you can see there are a lot of layers that had to be picked apart before rebuilding. I would say if you have one of these, it would def be worth having a bit of a poke around to check that you don’t have any problems. This was the same on both sides. All done and stone chipped up ready for the subframe to be refitted.
