We're looking to expand our team and would love to hear from experienced marine engineers, or perhaps someone with experience of agricultural or automotive engineering who is interested in changing sectors. Ideally you will have experience of leisure and small commercial vessels including inboard/outboard engines and associated equipment.

We're also looking for a yard operative to assist with antifouling and polishing work. This role has potential to lead into marine engineering training for the right candidate.

Both roles are within our dedicated, close-knit team at our Plymouth Yacht Haven site.

Launch day and sea trials for this lovely (and rare) Northshore Sabreline 395. A beautifully built boat, it's nevertheless fair to say she was ready for a bit of TLC. Following a cut and polish of the topsides, new name decals and some work beneath the waterline it was great to see her sparkle in the Spring sunshine.

Even better to see her performance afloat fully restored after a comprehensive engine cooling system overhaul - proven despite the somewhat blustery conditions in Plymouth Sound.

Remember, if it goes on a boat, the team at Mountbatten Boathouse can supply, install, service and repair it! As always, thanks due to the Plymouth Yacht Haven team for ensuring all went smoothly with the launch and time ashore.

Another busy week at Mount Batten Boathouse - including relaunch time for our first commercial refit of 2026.
