Customer bought a boat and very happy there were a few repairs to do on the transome/bathing platform. When sanding on 120 one stroke went straight into filler/prima! Unable to blend in the localised repair that I was asked to do the whole transome needed to be gelled! Also sanded everything off to make sure the previous repair was sound which it was. Once back to original colour and gel 3x coats of gel apllied then rubbed back through the grades ready for final polish and glass mirror finish.

Storm damage on an old repair not mine......so colour matching was difficult as the previous was slightly out and it was a large repair so didn't want to go through gel on previous repair too. Filled with chop strand and epoxy to build up the cavity. Once area filled had somthing to work off so glassed in and then ready for 3x coats of gel and rubbed back through the grades ready for final polish and glass mirror finish.

Customer removed screen and put the marine ply wood in, then called me to gel coat the area. Non structural so the thin exposed cavity filled with chopstrand epoxy filler until ready for 3x coats of gel apllied then rubbed back through the grades ready for final polish and glass mirror finish.

Transome/bathing platform got hit in the harbour by another boat with engine failure. Boat was lifted out of the water to see if structural and to be able to see under the platform. It was purely cosmetic and gel had featured from impact. 3x coats of gel apllied then rubbed back through the grades ready for final polish and glass mirror finish.

This was one of the hardest yet most rewarding boat I've ever polished 55ft Hanse yaught. Like the film Jaws they say they needed a bigger boat i need a bigger tower........and the heat was another level!
