Tell us about your sailing instead.

Do you race? Cruise? Sail short-handed? What conditions do you normally see? What works well with your current setup? What would you change if you could?

That's useful information.

Knowing which detail deserves another look. Recognising wear before it becomes a problem. Understanding how something that looks small on the loft floor will behave once it's loaded on the water.

That judgement comes from years of building, repairing and sailing.

Often you'll notice the change in how the boat feels before you notice anything visually wrong with the sail.

More weather helm, difficulty finding your usual trim, changes in shape or wear around high-load areas can all be worth investigating.

We've put together five things to keep an eye on.

And if you're unsure, take a few photos or speak to your local Ullman Sails loft. Catching something early is almost always easier than dealing with it after it becomes a bigger problem.
