Hi guys! It’s been a while since I’ve posted here so I thought I’d share the latest in the world of Crispy’s Motorcycles!

Firstly, to put an end to the constant rumours and speculation — I’ve not sold up and disappeared to Thailand!

In fact, there are some exciting new changes happening down at the shop. I’ll soon be joined by an extremely experienced, capable, MOT-certified motorcycle technician who’ll help take on the workload and strengthen what we can offer.

As part of that, I’ll also be taking a small step back from the day-to-day side of the business personally, knowing there’s someone trusted there to help carry the load and keep standards exactly where they should be. This change gives us more capacity without compromising what Crispy’s has always been about.

To that end, dyno tuning will be suspended for now, with a renewed focus on servicing, MOTs, tyres and general workshop work — alongside the added scope for more complex engine work and diagnostics.

I’m excited for what’s ahead and feel these changes will help Crispy’s Motorcycles continue supporting Plymouth’s biking community for years to come.

The increased capacity to take on more work and more complex jobs will begin next month.

As always, thank you to everyone who’s supported the business over the years — your trust, recommendations and loyalty mean a huge amount.

Hey guys. A good few years ago I tuned a Kawasaki ZX10R race bike for a chap called Simon. It was previously “tuned” by a company that I had reservations about and sure enough after strapping the bike on the Dyno, it was apparent the tune was completed with the confidence of someone who did not understand the assignment 😅😅

Anyway, back then Simon was setting up motorcycle suspension and due to me being constantly busy, I was recommending my customers to him for setups.

Ok everyone just calm down …. 🤣

I’ve been inundated with messages and calls. I really appreciate the comments and best wishes regarding my recent post. ❤️

Just to put everyone’s mind at ease. I’m still at the shop with no immediate plans to disappear into the sunset. 🌅

Should the time come I will still very likely be a part of the furniture and a familiar face at the shop. I will keep you all updated. So please don’t panic 😆

That said , as always I get booked up in advance so as in previous years. Please book those mots/services in with lots of notice.

Happy new year to you all! I hope 2026 is everything you hope for and more!

Seventeen years ago this July, Crispy’s Motorcycles was born. With zero investment and humble beginnings, working from a garden shed, later moving into two different units. Since then I have seen and done so much! Highs/lows, stresses/strains, advancements in motorcycle technology and apprentices who have come and gone.

It certainly has had its challenges but I am incredibly proud of what I have accomplished.

I was never chasing money or interested in growing too big or corporate and always tried to put customers first with a personal touch.

I always said that I would take a step back when I’m 50 years old.. and just like that.. in a blink of an eye… 2026 will see me celebrate my 50th birthday!

There’s a whole world out there and I don’t want to be too old to miss it! So... to that end.. I am officially putting the feelers out there to anybody interested in buying the business as an ongoing concern. I feel the time is right for me to move on to another chapter.

Ramps, MOT brake tester, tyre machine, Motorcycle rolling road Dyno, Woolich Racing equipment etc are all included and I will be available for support, offering all my years of experience and knowledge. 🧠

I know this post is a little unconventional, but then so am I! I’d rather reach out to the people who know me personally before casting the net wider.

What a Christmas cracker 🎄!

Brand new 2025 Honda CBR 1000RR-R, run in on the Dyno then mapped producing just shy of a staggering 230 bhp to the rear wheel with a ridiculously linear power curve. 🥵🥵

I’m out of the shop now enjoying a chilled festive break, but I’ll be back some time in January depending on how many mince pies and single malts I’ve consumed. 🥴

I’ve not had chance to post much recently, but I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all my loyal customers and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!
