Next time I see a nice looking caravan near Eastbourne, can someone give me a slap and tell me not to chase it?
Ok, it's as nice in person as the description suggested so someone will have many happy holidays with it but Ye Gods, the drive there & back on the A35, A31 and A27 made for a 'fun' 13hr day, with over 11hrs at the wheel. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a shorter day..!

What's been happening?
Well, the Adria Adora took priority as it sold before being ready for sale. It's now done and the Lunar Delta RS is next in line. After that, it's a toss up between the Coachman Pastiche and Lunar Conquest, as both are 'winter projects'. Essentially, they both have a bigger bundle of "I should have fixed that when I noticed" faults that sometimes build up. Either way, they're all easy enough to resolve and when sorted, both caravans will give their new owners many happy holidays.

The forecourt has space for a couple more so if you no longer want your current caravan, don't want to deal with the inevitable hassle of private adverts, give me a call on 07853 031500. There's never any pressure to sell, just an honest assessment, an offer and it's then your choice. I can collect too if that helps and it may save you paying winter storage charges for a caravan you may have lost interest in.
Anyway, you know where I am if needed.

Plans - they're wonderful things. Until they change!
Today's plan didn't involve an ABI Brooklyn but that's what flexibility's all about. It came in greener than the field it was sat in and hopes were not high. However, an hour with a bucket & brush transformed it from "Oh dear..." to "that looks nice".
After checking he appliances etc, most things worked and I'll sort the few that didn't tomorrow (Friday) before cleaning and advertising it to the world. As ever, the cheaper caravans seem to sell quickly so if you're looking for a spacious family caravan on a budget, call me before the rest of the world hears about it.
It comes with an air awning & annex, 4 wheel mover and enough small items to open your own caravan accessory shop if you want them. Enjoy these early photos and you know where I am if needed.

So, what's been happening in Leeward's world?
In short, a lot of running around! Thankfully, headless chicken season is starting to relent a little, which is always appreciated after a very busy summer. It may not have seemed that busy from the outside as the regular adverts for new 'ready to go' caravans hasn't happened. Reason being, many have sold before I had chance to sort the advert!

Being fair, I prefer to get them sorted so they can be taken away the day they're bought if needed. Otherwise, there's a delay and I have to prioritise the one that sold rather than the order I'd usually follow (easiest first, biggest job last!). However, if they sell, they sell and that's just how it goes, so I'll adapt.

This year has seen a few 'boomerang' caravans, those that come back as a part exchange upgrade etc. The latest is the 2014 Bailey Pegasus 530, a very nice fixed bed caravan that's back in stock for the third time in a few years. It was serviced today and the few minor hiccups will most likely be resolved tomorrow. Then it's a quick wash off, a few photos and refresh the set of words used in the previous advert.

The Current Stock List post looks quite healthy but as ever, I'm always looking for new stock. I'm typically after 10 - 20yr old, 4 - 6 berth caravans, preferably in good condition. However, I'm open to others outside those parameters, including damp, damaged or just greener than the field it's sat in! Give me a call on 07853 031500 for a chat and we can see what happens. As ever, you're not obliged to accept any offer made so if you're unsure, wait and have a think first.

So, whether you're selling, looking to buy, need repair advice or simply want some unbiased help navigating through the internet's million & one caravanning myths, call me or pop in. Most of those myths will get you into trouble, so feel free to ask. I don't bite (that costs extra..!) and I'm happy to pass on some of the several decades experience of caravans and the industry.
