The problem is usually NOT the oil pump itself at first, but the:
👉 Oil pick-up pipe seal (in the sump)
The seal goes hard/brittle over time
It lets oil drain back into the sump
The pump then sucks air instead of oil → loss of oil pressure
⚠️ Typical symptoms
“Low oil pressure – stop engine” warning
