Yesterdays job we had a Skoda Fabia in for a full service.

Replaced oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs and the cabin filter. We also check all the fluids and topped up wherever needed.

The car was fully checked over as the customer has a mot due soon but all in all the car is mechanically good just needed a couple of wipers and tyres.

Service light reset and customer got the car back happy

Today we had a Toyota Prius in with issues of over heating.

We Drained the coolant from the car and added fresh coolant into the vehicle and when it came to bleeding the system to clear the air from the system we came across when trying to run the coolant heat storage tank pump it wasn’t working, we found out the pump is faulty and noticed there was a lot of oil in the coolant which we confirmed the car needing a new head gasket. We advised the customer on what needs doing and now awaiting the response as the owner of the vehicle is out of the country for a few weeks.

Today we had a BMW 320d e46 in as when braking was pulling to one side.

After a test drive the car was pulling aggressively to the right under braking,Drove the vehicle back to the workshop and stripped down the brakes and came across the passenger front brake calliper was seized.

We took the old calliper off and changed the brake hose as it was seized into the calliper we suspect that it was the original calliper, We drained the brake fluid and fitted new brake hose and calliper and put fresh brake fluid in and bled the brakes and now the car is braking better than ever !

We also noticed the handbrake was not holding good but noticed there was plenty of tension on the handbrake but these BMWs haves inboard brake shoes for the handbrake so we adjusted the shoes and now the handbrake is back to normal working order.
