**End of an Era & A New Chapter!**
We have now officially handed over the reins of Peverell Garage.

After 32 incredible years as a family-run business, this marks a major milestone for all of us. First and foremost, Bev and Simon can finally take a step back and enjoy a very well-earned retirement!

As some of you may already know, Callum has also taken a big leap of his own and has started an exciting new business closer to home in Tavistock - Pixon Lane Garage.

Taking Peverell Garage Into a New Era
We are absolutely delighted to wish Lewis Walker all the very best and every success moving forward. Lewis is taking the business into a brand-new era, and we know it is in incredibly safe, capable hands. We look forward to watching the garage continue to thrive under his leadership!

Helping Us Go Green: We Are Phasing Out Paper Documents

At Peverell Garage, we're dedicated to being more environmentally friendly. As part of our ongoing commitment, we're phasing out the automatic printing of MOT documents and invoices to reduce our paper consumption and environmental impact.
This change will take effect from Monday, 21st July 2025.

Why the change?

▪️Environmental Responsibility: This initiative is a key part of our effort to become a greener business by significantly cutting down on paper waste.

▪️Convenience: All MOT documents are now stored digitally by the DVSA. You can easily view and download your MOT certificate online anytime using your vehicle's registration number and the MOT test number.

▪️In line with DVSA guidelines: The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has confirmed that garages are no longer required to issue a physical MOT certificate.

What does this mean for you?

▪️You will receive a digital copy of your invoice via email or text message as soon as the job is complete.

▪️If you require a printed copy of your MOT certificate or invoice, just let a member of our team know, and we'll be happy to provide one for you.

▪️We'll also update your online service record and can email it to you if required. Rest assured, we will securely hold all your records for any future requests you may have.

Upon job completion, an invoice will be posted to you with a secure payment link. You can also make a payment via bank transfer. This helps to ease the vehicle collection process, allowing you to pay at your convenience before you arrive. Of course, you can still pay in person upon collection if you prefer.

When was the last time you had your Haldex serviced?

Haldex unit is an essential part of a four wheel drive system seen on Volkswagen Audi Group vehicles, situated in the rear differential. The fluid within the system is detrimental to it's operation and performance. Over it's life the fluid degrades and the particles from internal wear start to build up in the system. This debris is then sucked into the filter of the haldex pump and causes restriction of flow, this in turn can cause poor operational performance from the four wheel drive system, premature failure of internal components or failure of the haldex pump. Regular maintenance is key to have your four wheel drive system working to it's optimal performance.

We recommend having your oil replaced every 20,000 miles to retain longevity of your four wheel drive system.

Last day of meet the team and today we are introducing our wonderful technician Matt!

Matt has been working in the industry for around 16 years, 5 of those years being here at Peverell with the team!

Matt loves nothing more than getting involved in the bigger mechanical jobs we have here at the garage, but it doesn't end there Matt is also a level 3 trained EV technician.

Matt is very enthusiastic about the gym, even if this means waking up at 4am just to get his training in! In his spare him he also likes to spend the weekends spending quality time with his son.

Day 3 of meet the team and we are delighted to introduce one of our fantastic technicians David!

David has been in the motor industry for around 13 years, 5 of those being a part of the team at Peverell.

David has been on many courses to gain more knowledge on ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) as well as improving his knowledge on electric/hybrid vehicles.

In David's spare time you can either find him doing his church leadership course or enjoying a long walk on Dartmoor!
