More changes coming just around the corner from us…

Work has started on a new Starbucks drive-through and Greggs at the McDonald’s and BP services by the A3, with hopes they’ll open in February.

And just like that, the summer holidays are over and the school run is back!

For plenty of us, that means the car is back to being part of the daily routine too. School drop-offs, work, clubs, shopping and everything else that somehow has to fit into the week.

So if you’ve been putting off that service, ignoring a warning light or turning the radio up to drown out a suspicious new noise, now’s a good time to get it sorted.

The sun’s out and the bank holiday weekend is nearly here! ☀️🚗

If you’re heading off somewhere, give the car a quick once-over before you go. Check the tyres, top up the screenwash and make sure your oil and coolant levels are where they should be.

It only takes a few minutes and could save you spending part of the bank holiday waiting at the side of the road!

Another hot one today… 🥵

Here’s Chrissy making sure everything is spot on after an oil and filter change.

When it comes to engine oil, the level matters.

Too little can cause overheating, increased wear and even engine failure. Too much can damage seals and affect lubrication.

Most cars need an oil change every 12 months or around 9,000 to 12,000 miles, although short journeys, towing and stop-start driving can mean it needs changing sooner.

Check your service history and, if it’s due, give the Auto Matt team a call.

Sometimes a bit of patience, the right tools and a fair bit of elbow grease are the only way to tackle a stubborn locking wheel bolt.

This one had to be drilled out to safely remove the wheel before we could carry on with the repair.

Another challenge overcome, and another vehicle one step closer to getting safely back on the road.
