Pride Month may have ended almost a month ago, but inclusion doesn’t stop at the end of June 🏳️‍🌈

During Pride Month, five months on from receiving Pride365 accreditation, we reflected on the progress made so far, and on the work still to come.

Some people may wonder what LGBT+ inclusion has to do with buying, servicing, or repairing a vehicle. For us, it’s very straightforward: we’re a people business.

Every day, people come to us as customers, colleagues, suppliers, and applicants, and every one of them should feel they are treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.

Pride365 sits within our wider commitment to making Smiths a place where people are treated fairly, spoken to respectfully, and welcomed without assumption or judgement, whatever their background or identity.

You may not have seen Pride flags outside our dealerships or rainbow branding across our social media channels, but that doesn’t mean the support isn’t there.

Visibility is important, but day-to-day actions matter more. The real measure is whether people feel respected and included throughout the year, not only in June.

🚣‍♂️ What a fantastic day at the Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival!

For the second year running, we proudly took to the water with our two teams, Smiths Rev & Row and The Fast & The Smithious. There was plenty of teamwork, determination, laughter and paddling throughout the day.

One of our teams even took their commitment to making a splash a little too literally and ended up capsizing! 😂 Thankfully, everyone was safe, and it certainly gave us all something to laugh about.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, cheered us on, and donated to our fundraising efforts.

NEWS: Renault 5 E-Tech Electric Wins UK Car of the Year 2026

The Renault 5 E-Tech has been named the overall winner at the UK Car of the Year Awards, one of the most respected honours in the British automotive industry. The title follows its earlier success in the Small Car category and confirms its status as one of the most exciting new electric cars available in the UK.

Judged by a panel of more than 30 leading motoring journalists, the awards recognise the best new vehicles currently on sale. After topping its class, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric went head-to-head with other category champions and was selected as the overall winner following final voting.

Until the end of December 2019, we are offering free MOT tests as well as discounted servicing and repairs at our dealerships for anyone recently made redundant from Thomas Cook. We’re also able to offer interest free credit to spread the cost of repairs if required (subject to status and the usual terms & conditions).

It doesn’t matter what car you own but we will ask for proof that you were recently employed at Thomas Cook and it's your car.
