⚠️ Booking Your Driving Test? Please Read

We’ve spoken to a number of learners recently who are understandably frustrated by the long waiting times for driving tests.

When you’re desperate to find an earlier test, it can be tempting to use unofficial websites, social media adverts or people claiming they can “guarantee” you a test date.

Our advice is simple:
✅ Book your driving test through the official GOV.UK website.
✅ Be extremely cautious of anyone asking for money to “secure” a test.
✅ If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

The DVSA has been taking action against bookings that don’t comply with its rules, and some learners have unfortunately lost both their test appointment and their test fee.

The biggest problem isn’t learners looking for earlier tests—it’s the shortage of driving test appointments. Until that improves, scams and unofficial services will continue to target frustrated learners.

At MPL Driving School, we’ll always point you towards the safest and most legitimate way to book your test. If you’re unsure about anything, just ask us before parting with your money.
