All road lead to kings Lynn last night for Conner in some very hot conditions throughout the day & night time.

Some very much needed confidence boost as some pace with him winning his heat & then following it up with a respectable 6th in the final with some top drivers.

Didn’t get on so well in the allcomers with only 1 race between the two races we lost some pace. Upon checks this morning cylinder2 is in a bad way. Hoping it’s a simple head gasket swap so we are now in the middle of fitting the new spare engine for the weekend for the world final & Steve Newman Memorial on Sunday.

Skegness was on the cards during the week for Mark contending for the British Championship at Skegness.

Greasy track for heat1 contending with 20+ other drivers and finishing within the top10 was a good start to the day.

Track improved throughput the night coming away with another top 10 finish to qualify 13th for the championship race.

Good start to the final but with a spread out pack made it difficult to get through at times. Finishing within the top10 again we think around 8th but we haven’t confirmed all results.

Consistent night never the less, not much damage.

Next one for Mark is likely Buxton on bank holiday Monday 31st August.

We’ve been a bit quite on here in recent weeks. Mainly just due to no racing for mark for the GT’s summer break.

Conner didn’t race over the weekend but ended up hiring out the stock car which unfortunately has come back with a fair amount of damage after being put into the wall very heavily in heat2 ending the day smashing the front corner, bottom arm, rear axle & shock absorber

Luckily we have 4 weeks to turn the car around and get it sorted so it’s not a mad rush but we’re certainly gonna be busy that’s for sure.

Repairs have commenced this week👌🏻🏁

💥Weekend round-up💥

The bad luck streak for Conner seems to continue after not completing a lap in heat1 being spun and collected by the pack and breaking a drive shaft and some bar work needed.

Heat2 was better but after being up the wall due to the wet shale track the r/f wheel was hit again and seems to have bent the hub & possibly steering rack & that pretty much ended the day with the timescale given to repair the car again with only a final to go.

Mark at Skegness also had a ‘flying start’ to his weekender at Skegness almost putting it on his roof clipping a slow car coming out of turn4 starting the weekend with a DNF

Respectively finishing the next 2 heats with a 9th & 11th place finishes but unfortunately missing the cut for the UK Championship Sunday

Day2 for Mark started with some small welding repairs to the wing where he attempted to be Batman the night before

Heat1 starting from the back with a large field of cars was always gonna be a big task to qualify for the meeting final but to miss out by 1 place finishing 9th was a very good effort.

Respective finishes with a 13th & a 6th place finish in the allcomers wraps up a full weekends racing.

It’s been a stressful two weeks getting the engine built, back in, up & running. But we have one car ready for the weekend🙌🏻

No racing for us this weekend at Mildenhall for Conner’s stock car due to the engine having a loss of power during heat1 at Kings Lynn last weekend.

Did a compression test and found the compression had dropped significantly which ended the day. Upon further checks during the week we found cylinder1 had spun so we was very lucky not to blow the engine to pieces.

All being well we will all be back next weekend with Conner at Kings Lynn Saturday night.

Mark also has his UK spedeweekend next weekend at Skegness which he has been prepping the car for so will certainly be a busy one for sure.
