For those not already aware, I have now retired! Surely I'm not old enough to do that! (Thank you to everyone thinking that 🤣)

I've decided to retire when I'm still enjoying the driving instructor role, rather than being disillusioned, bored, or any other excuse. I'm still keeping myself busy doing various volunteering activities.

That's not the end of the story, though. My son, Andrew, starts up as a driving instructor during the coming week. The photo here is my handover from JWC Driving.

Why does it always seem to rain when my pupils sit their driving test? However the sun shone on Nathan this morning when he passed his practical test, first time, in Perth.
Well done Nathan - you can now tear up those L-plates and enjoy independent driving.

Unfortunately I picked up a puncture today. Looks like my tyre hoovered up a random bolt. After a not very Formula 1 pit stop, I fitted the spare and got back on the road.
Thanks to Ronnie and the service team at Flear and Thomson Perth (Kia), I got a free repair on the tyre the same afternoon.
Happy days! At least it wasn't raining for a change 😂

Well done to Domi who battled through delightful Scottish January weather 😱 to pass her driving test in Perth this afternoon.

Let's hope the DVSA can reduce driving test waiting times so that more safe drivers can join Domi in gaining their independence.
