Big shout out to MCS Campers St Helens who helped me out last week collecting some hall sensors from a BMW dealer in Warrington then posting them to me. The dealer was the only one in UK who had them but would not post to me 😡
My request for help was answered by a few of my page followers so many thanks to all who were willing to help.
MCS Campers make some Caddy rear pods for camper conversions. Check them out.

That’s the CEPA engine stripped back to a bare block. Just crank sensor to remove when I drain the oil ( which I should have done while in the car 😂)
The engine off to Andy O7K Ltd for an inspection.

Anyone in Warrington could collect some hall sensors from the BMW dealer and post to me? They will not post out and I need them urgently

A very frustrating Friday where I nearly said # # # # it and went to the pub. But I persevered and adapted an RS3 8V exhaust system onto the 8P RS3. So currently it has a turbo back full Catalytic exhaust system with resonators. It passed the emissions test with flying colours.
The car has had 2 new rear brake callipers and pads, 2 front drop links, 2 front springs. And of course a replacement engine keeping the later injectors. The car is driving great. I could happily use this as a daily driver.

This makes me think about putting my caddy back to stock ish power with standard gearbox etc. No turbo lag, comfortable suspension.

A bit more work on the RS3 8P. Both rear brake callipers replaced. Had to paint them red to match the carriers. New pads too. All working good. Handbrake spot on now. Put the CZGB catalytic converter on today as well as secondary cats. Want a legit MOT as will be selling car 🤪

Never one to put crap back in a car I’m working on. The prop centre mount was damaged and would have been causing vibration. The damaged bearing cradle was removed and a JXB centre mount fitted. The rear prop bolts were all damaged so we put ARP bolts in that I had spare from my Caddy RS. Will be driving it tomorrow to check all ok

The RS3 8P is now a happy car. CZGB engine with later injectors fitted. Running sweet
