As we get closer to Christmas we would just like to remind our customers we will be closed for the festive period for a well earned break. We are filling up fast and have VERY limited availability for 2025!
This year we will close on Tuesday 23rd of December until Monday 5th January
We would like to wish all our customers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

The weather is awful comfort food is definitely needed luckily shap playgroup have a pie and pudding night tonight so you don’t need to cook. Local businesses have provided pies and the mums (and dads) have been busy making puddings.

*** Phone Issues***

We are experiencing phone issues which seems to be a national issue. I am struggling to phone anyone on EE, O2 mobiles or BT landlines from the landline. I am able to receive calls but not make them it just does an ‘engaged’ tone. If you are expecting a call if your vehicle is in please call me

*** A6 ROAD CLOSURE ***

You may or may not be aware but as of Monday (23rd June) the road works will be starting in Shap. The work is expected to last approximately 3 weeks.
It’s being done in two phases.
Phase 1 is at the south end of the village and is to be Ullsmoor (30mph sign) to Green House (just north of the old sausage factory/ Brackenber road end) this will cause disruption for customer coming from the south (Orton/ Tebay areas) the diversions are given below. The advised routes are round via Crosby Ravensworth dropping back it Shap by the Church or up the M6 and come back down the A6 and enter the village from the north end of the village.
If you are unsure of which route to take please contact us at the garage and we will advise you
Phase 1 is expected to last the first 2 Weeks
We will advise on phase 2 when phase one is completed

Had this lovely old jag in this week for rust proofing, we start by thourghly washing the under side then leaving it over night to dry. Then remove the wheels, arch liners and all under shields, then apply the waxoil including inside any cavities.
Given the cost of vechicles now it’s a job that’s worth having done if your the type of person that keeps there cars a long time
