Some work on my own truck, some lovely new heavy duty rear shocks from KS International Ltd (stock most things for j*p 4x4s) and some nice larger at tyres from Roger's Tyre's Ltd.

Soon to get under sealed and a full suspension refresh.

Couple sets of springs, gearbox fault repair, trailering, mot fail work and lowering kit fitted to a van.

Building up and able to provide more and more.

What started off working out of the back of a BMW fixing brakes and doing servicing has led into towbar fitting, clutches and undersealing.

Newest additions of a pick up and todays treat of a trailer means I'll shortly be able to do evening and weekend recovery jobs as well.

Hard work, good people and very understanding wife and kids all make it so much easier and more enjoyable to do.

In for a full service and found a snapped spring.

new spring and top mount ordered as the spring had wound its way around the upper mount which was keeping it away from the strut tower

new spring fitted and back on the way.

More than likely caused by the appalling road condition all around Edinburgh.

Another service,
oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen/cabin filter and plugs all for a similar price of a simple oil and oil filter change at a dealer.

Pollen/cabin filters routinely get forgotten about when it comes to servicing as can be seen in the contrast between the old filthy black filter and nice crisp white new one. Pollen/cabin filters keep pollen dust and other pollutants out of the air you fans blow into the car, so are well worth changing especially where allergy sufferers are concerned.

Some more undersealing

This time on my Fiatsubishi,
l200/fullbacks are known for chassis corrosion.
Wire wheeled down to remove bulk of the corrosion,
Jenolite rust convertor applied (turns it stable black)
Jenolite zinc spray as extra protection on vulnerable places.
Gravitex on underside of load bed.
Tetra Schutz on the chassis rails and crossmembers.
Then spare wheel mechanism lubricated.

Most places cover everything, to me that can lead to struggles diagnosing leaks or when it comes to changing parts so only the essential areas have been done.

Some undersealing

surface corrosion scrubbed back and then rust convertor to neutralise.
zinc galv spray as a base coat, followed by Gravitex (a hard wearing stone guard), then finally tetra schutz as a nice top coat.

with the amount of road salt on the roads in the coming months it makes sense to protect the underside.

Quick job on my own truck 🛻

Low pads were picked up on last MOT.
Replaced with some MTEC discs with a black protective coating and EBC greenstuff brake pads.

Should keep the Fiatsubishi stopping well.

Some exhaust work on a 335iNew downpipes fitted and one of the silencers replaced to emphasise the sound with the valved...

New downpipes fitted and one of the silencers replaced to emphasise the sound with the valved exhaust open, but still keeping the noise levels down when closed.
