We caught up with Simon from The Mini Works who is partway to restoring a Mini Cooper S back to its former glory 😎 you may recognise this Mini from a previous video featuring our very own Stevie.

β€˜Hi, I am Simon Drew from The Mini Works.

I started The Mini Works as a hobby that turned into a business. I’ve been working on Minis since the late 1980s. It’s nice to be involved in something that makes people happy and helps them relive their dreams.

I met Michael Noble over 10 years ago when he was looking for a Mk1 Cooper S. He started coming into my workshop and eventually bought one from me. One thing led to another, and I started getting body shells painted at their body shop. The Nobles have been good to me over the years and have helped me with many things, as it’s difficult trying to do it all on your own.

The car I’m working on is a 1964 1275 Cooper S, which was found festering at the back of our garage about five years ago. It belonged to a Mini enthusiast from the 1960s who had owned many Cooper Ss. Sadly, he died and it was left to rot.’

We will be following along as this restoration progresses, so stay tuned for updates 😊

Yesterday, Malcolm handed the keys to this stunning Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian over to Adam Young of Young Subsea Engineering and Keystone Clydesdales.

A long time fan of the Mitsubishi Motors brand, Adam was delighted to see Mitsubishi returning to the UK market and couldn't wait to get his hands on one.

Adam and Malcolm struck a deal on his new Mitsubishi after seeing it at the Royal Highland Show and it won't be long before this Barbarian is fully wrapped in tartan and visiting shows all over Scotland and The UK. Adam drove away in his new car, safe In the knowledge that if his Clydesdales ever gets stuck in the mud, he now has a Barbarian to help tow them out again 😎

Mitsubishi have never really been known for conventional design and the new Outlander is no different. Modern, sleek and functional, yes! But the brown leather interior on the Diamond spec is uniquely bold and unlike anything we have seen on a car in this class in recent years.

It really has to be seen to be appreciated. So pop along to our showroom and see for yourself!
