And what a cracking car to start with—a 1991 H-registration Vauxhall Cavalier GL 2.0-litre, with only two owners from new.

The car itself is remarkably clean and original for its age, but the red paintwork is badly faded and oxidised. It’s going to need a proper machine-polishing restoration to bring the colour, depth and shine back.

This will be getting the full works:

✅ Pre-wash and snow foam
✅ Detailed wash, including shuts and hard-to-reach areas
✅ Wheels, tyres and wheel arches deep-cleaned
✅ Tar, iron and bonded-contaminant removal
✅ Clay-bar treatment
✅ Paint inspection and test area
✅ Trims, rubbers and badges carefully masked
✅ Multi-stage machine compound and polish
✅ Paintwork refined to restore the gloss
✅ Protective wax or sealant applied
