RN Motorcycles (formerly Roger Neale Motorcycles) is a Small Family Business. It's a source of new and used motorcycle parts, spares and new accessories for bikers in the Paignton, / Torbay areas and beyond and has been trading for over 25 years. This successful small business was for many years based in Dartington, but then moved to smaller premises in Broadhempston before relocating to Church Street Paignton in February 2011. The business has since expanded and is now an approved motorcycle MOT testing station; it also carries out Servicing and Repairs to all makes and models of motorcycles and scooters. There is also a small shop for the basics... Typically, products supplied are: motorcycle accessories, inner-tubes, chains & sprockets, brake pads and shoes, clutch plates, air/oil filters, oils, lubricants, spark plugs, cables, tyres, bodywork and general motorcycle spares.

After our last post showing the damage that Tyre sealant had caused inside a set of Harley-Davidson V-Rod wheels, we wanted to show you the tyre sealant we do recommend 👇

💧 Air-Seal Tyre Sealant

Air-Seal is a water-based tyre sealant designed to help seal punctures and leaks as they happen.

🚨 Something you wouldn’t expect to find when changing a tyre! 🏍️

These wheels came off a Harley-Davidson V-Rod, and inside we found a load of tyre sealant that had been sitting against the wheel.

Unfortunately, some of these can eat away at the chrome and cause corrosion, as you can see in the photos 😬

We’ve now sanded back the corroded areas, thoroughly prepped the wheels and treated them to help prevent it from happening again.

This is exactly why we do recommend a water based sealant inside your tyres. What might seem like a quick and easy solution can potentially cause some serious damage to your wheels over time.

A tyre change isn’t always just about fitting a new tyre — sometimes you find things hiding underneath that you definitely weren’t expecting! 👀

Simon has his final assessment coming up on Thursday to become fully qualified to carry out MOTs for us! 🤞🏍️
