Recovering this broken down horse box from the this evening with help from Lambourn Racehorse Transport in taking care of the 5 horses on board and National Highways traffic officers bringing the traffic to a standstill in both directions. Back to base for repair on Monday.

Full time position
Hours: Mon – Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm
Location: Warkworth, Banbury OX17 2JH
Minimum Requirement: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Mechanics; C+E (Class 1) licence - highly desirable.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual with a passion for trucks to join our commercial workshop team. Working on our customers', as well as our own, vehicles, this is a fast-paced, dynamic working environment, so will only suit those with a flexible approach to work and who enjoy a challenge.

This is a rewarding role in which you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, routine services and repairs, preparation of vehicles and trailers for MOT and presentation for test. All tasks to be performed to the highest standard.

Ideally, you’ll hold a C+E licence but must have sound mechanical knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems able to competently diagnose and repair faults in an efficient manner, recording all work on relevant documentation or electronically on the r2c fleet management system.

You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, and under pressure with a calm, methodical and safe approach.

Pay: £41-48k per annum, dependant on experience, plus annual bonus.
